We are the second oldest Local Lodge in District 98. We were chartered in January 1939. In 1971 the first Safety and Health language was incorporated into the Contract.

During the Allis Chalmers years there was a very adversarial climate between the Company and the Union, it was common to have 30 - 40 grievances scheduled for Arbitration. In 1986, Voith Hydro bought the Company and over the last 15 years has had a good working relationship with the IAM.
